UNDERDOG

Underdog: The Other Other Bronte
by Sarah Gordon
Directed by Casey Seymour Kim

WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
This play is an irreverent look at the Bronte sisters: Charlotte, Emily, and Anne.
Each of them are high-spirited, foul-mouthed, and have plenty to say. The play tracks their life as they embark on a quest to become groundbreaking authors.

(For those not in the know -- Charlotte wrote Jane Eyre, Emily wrote Wuthering Heights, and Anne wrote The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. Victorian England had big reactions to each of them.)

The play plumbs the depths of sibling relationships, the struggle to be recognized while marginalized, and the cost of ambition.
