091 for Performance and Musical Theatre Seniors -- No Live Presentations Required

Hello, Graduating Musical Theatre and Performance Seniors --

Because 3 afternoons of juries had to be collapsed into 2 this semester, we will not be asking seniors to do live presentations of any material.

Seniors will still need to present their portfolio of monologues and songs for review. These materials can be in one binder or two separate binders, depending on the individual's organizational preference.

Thank you and see you on Friday!

BLITHE SPIRIT AUDITIONS: NO CALLBACKS SCHEDULED

Hello Auditioners --

There will be no Callbacks for the Fall Production of Blithe Spirit. Thank you all for coming in on the day before our final week of spring semester.

I will post a cast list by the end of the week.

Please know that I am very excited by the readings that everyone was able to share with me this afternoon. With seven characters in this play, I could easily create 2-3 different casts.

Regardless, these auditions are very helpful as they will give Bill Wilson and myself plenty to consider as we work to craft next year's season of shows.

Thank you again, and have a wonderful last day of classes tomorrow!

Ticket Deal for the Gamm's production of Doubt: A Parable

College Night Ticket Deal for the Gamm's production of Doubt: A Parable.

Here is a message from RIC Alum Autumn Jefferson, who now is part of the Gamm's Education/Outreach team:

"Join us for John Patrick Shanley’s Doubt: A Parable May 17th at 7:30.

Doubt is set at St. Nicholas Church School in the Bronx, 1964. Sister Aloysius, the school’s principal, starts to question Father Flynn's ambiguous relationship with a troubled young man — the school's first black student. As the progressive priest and traditional nun are drawn into a battle of wills, motivations are challenged and alliances are formed with possibly irreversible consequences.

Students who are interested can purchase a ticket here: College Night Tickets using the discount code RIC15 to get a ticket at the low price of 15 dollars! We also offer group discounts for any students and chaperones that might want to travel together.

For more information please email me at autumn@gammtheatre.org, or call the box office to learn more about group rates and discounts.

Thank you!"

Here is the schedule for the Tech Design 091s on Friday, May 3rd. This will be up in the Tech Classroom.

Please let Alan or Nicki know if you have any questions :

1:00pm - Jordan
1:15pm - Abbey L.
1:30pm - Molly

  •  To get feedback on your resume, but also on your work on shows and in the theatre classes that semester.
  • To give the faculty/staff feedback on your semester and to tell us what your goals are in the program. For example, do you want to design a show? Run a light board? SM a musical before you graduate.. etc... What classes do you need to be offered?

Upper classman should bring resumes along with your portfolio. The goal is that your senior year 091 meetings is a mock job interview.
