Audition Reminders

Hello all ~

Auditions for next semester are almost upon us! 

If you are a performance or musical theatre concentration, be sure to sign up for audition slots on both Sunday the 3rd and Sunday the 10th.

Tomorrow, December 1st is the last day to be added to the do no cast list. If you need to be on that list for any of the 3 shows, please email Nicki at nfrechette@ric.edu.

The Little Theatre

• All theatre majors should sign up for an audition slot in the MTD Office. If you want to be on the “do not cast list” for either or both shows, please email Nicki at nfrechette@ric.edu  no later than December 1^st.

• Actors should prepare and memorize one contemporary dramatic monologue. Total running time should not exceed TWO minutes.

• The Call-back list for MARVIN will be posted on the Theatre callboard by 10am on December 4th. The call-back list for YOUTH will be posted on Monday, December 11th. (www.riccallboard.blogspot.com)

Details for MARVIN’s ROOM

• Call-backs will be Monday, December 4^th at 7pm in the Little Theatre.
• Call-backs will consist of readings from the script.
• Rehearsals begin January 8^th and will generally be Sunday-Thursday nights from 7-10pm.
• The show will run two weekends!! Thursday-Sunday (February 22-25) and then Friday-Sunday (March 2-4) with a potential brush up rehearsal on Wednesday, Feb. 28th. There is a school matinee scheduled for Friday, Feb. 23^rd at 10am. Tech begins on Sunday, February 18^th at 12pm.

Hello Tech Majors!

Please email Nicki to sign up for an 091 Portfolio review slot for next Wednesday, December 6th! Starting at noon, we will be doing 10 minute individual slots to offer feedback.

These meetings are mandatory for all tech majors and will be happening up in the tech classroom.

Everyone should bring copies of their resume and their portfolio if applicable. If you have any questions, just ask!

A message from the Director:

I look forward to seeing your audition monologues on Sunday December 3. Marvin's Room is a dramatic comedy. I am looking for actors who can be realistic, who can create the complexity of human lives. How are we humorous in times of trouble? How do we share our love for our families? How do we persevere in spite of difficulties? 

Call backs will consist of reading sides from the script. 

Bring your whole self on Sunday and have fun!
