Antigone auditions are almost here!
Auditions will be held Sunday, December 1st starting at 12pm. You may choose any one of the monologues added below. No memorization is necessary but please be familiar with the text and make clear choices as you are working on them. Bring a copy of the monologue you wish to audition with. I will also make copies and put them in a folder in the MTD office.

Antigone, A strong willed, outspoken, and passionate character who fights for what she believes in, even if it means risking her life
Haemon, Antigone's fiancé and Creon's son who confronts his father over Antigone's sentence
Creon, The antagonist of the play who is blinded by his pride but tries to do what he thinks is best
Ismene, a foil character to Antigone who represents those who are afraid to stand up to immoral acts and cruel leaders
Nurse, mother figure to Antigone and her older sister, Ismene
Guard, messanger to Creon
Chorus, a group of people who give the audience exposition
