Reminder: Everyman is Streaming this Weekend!

Theatre Students!

One final reminder that our December Theatre Festival begins this week.

Our first production -- our adaptation of the morality play Everyman -- is in the final editing stages and will be streaming this weekend.

We created it from script to filming in one month. It runs 35 minutes -- tell your folks, tell your friends!

Here is the link to our streaming service. There is no cost. (There are different choices to click on, though: "purchase ticket" is for streaming on Friday and "rent video" is for Saturday and Sunday)

Just in case, here is our promotional blurb:

Many are familiar with the morality play Everyman, written by an anonymous playwright in the late 15th century. Consistently taught in literature and drama classes, the journey of its central character continues to speak to us, encouraging us to examine our life, our relationship to mortality, as well as our relationship to the Divine. In recent years, there have been contemporary adaptations, most notably by British poet Carol Ann Duffy and American playwright Brendan Jacob-Jenkins. While these adaptations may change certain stylistic elements, Everyman’s quest remains the same: who amongst his earthly community will accompany him to the grave? Exploring different media and producing their own compositions, our RIC theatre students are at once re-telling this medieval play through a contemporary lens, as well as crafting their own response to the questions that it poses.

Congratulations to everyone involved!
