October 3rd - socially distanced performance

Good Morning:

The Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance is creating an in-person, outdoor, socially distanced performance for Homecoming Weekend on October 3, 2020 at 6:30 PM and at 8 PM.

There will be an in-person rehearsal after 4 PM on the 2nd of October. Until then, most rehearsals will be via Zoom.

For the event, 52 cars, having made previous reservations, will enter the RIC campus via Mt. Pleasant Ave. There will be musicians and actors lining College Road as the cars enter. Before the roundabout, the cars will be directed to make a large circle in parking lot A. an approximately 20 minute performance will take place in the center of the circle.

The cars will be directed to exit lot A behind Sapinsley Hall and out the Fruit Hill college exit. A Choral video will be projected on the side of Alger Hall on the exit route. Along the journey there will be live saxophonists, live singing, live drumming and lots of lights.

Please let us know if you are interested in being a part of this performance asap. We only have three weeks to put it together, but it promises to be an exciting event which should garner a lot of press in the area.
