Play Confirmed for Fall 2021/Auditions Notice

Hello All!

Four things about our 2021/2022 Season of Shows:

1.) We are able to announce that for next academic season, we are planning on:
2 straight plays, 2 musicals, and 2 Growing Stage productions.

2.) We are planning to be able to meet, rehearse, and perform in person
We do not yet know how we will be able to relate to the audience.

3.) We are still working to secure rights for different titles of plays but can confirm that show in slot #1 will be:

The Moors, by Jen Silverman.

Quick synopsis: 4 W, 1 M.
Two sisters and a dog live out their lives on the bleak English moors, dreaming of love and power. The arrival of a hapless governess and a moor-hen set all three on a strange and dangerous path. The Moors is a dark comedy about love, desperation, and visibility. It is a play that is odd, quirky, and full of character--broad as well as nuanced characters. I'd say that it is set in the 18th century, but time is funny out there on the Moors...

4.) For students who are enrolled in THTR 091, if we have received your end-of-year monologue and song submissions, then that will serve as your first round audition.

For those upperclassmen who are not enrolled in THTR 091, please submit two, contrasting 1-minute monologues to casey.seymourkim@gmail.com.

Please submit these video auditions by 5pm Friday, May 14, 2021.
We are hoping to have finished the casting decisions by the end of the month.

Thank you!
