College Light Opera Company (CLOC)

I've been working since May as the Publicist/Alumni Development Coordinator for the College Light Opera Company (CLOC) down in Cape Cod and wanted to share with you all an opportunity for RIC students next summer.

Our application portal for CLOC's 2021 Season has just recently opened. There are opportunities for singers/actors, musicians, conductors, arts administrators, choreographers, stage managers, and designers/tech students. Since the number of students living on campus has to be reduced due to COVID-19, they are especially interested this year in students who are skilled in multiple areas (which I know RIC students are!)

I believe CLOC is more than just your average summer stock. The reason I've loved working for them so much is because education is the top priority of their mission, and the staff are genuine people who care about helping the students learn. They have an extensive alumni network that spans 4 decades and is made up of professional artists working all across the country in Broadway/TV, National/Int' Tours, and leading opera/theatre companies. Many of those alums come back each season to teach and direct shows.
