Susie Schutt Workshop: Fundamentals of Onstage Intimacy

*** Onstage Intimacy Workshop This Saturday ***

Does the idea of Onstage Intimacy stress you out?

Intimacy Choreography, like Fight Choreography, is a very detailed and disciplined practice. Awareness about actor safety (emotional and physical) has been a part of a robust introspective conversation in the performing arts industry. The presence of an Intimacy Coordinator/Choreographer is now standard practice for many productions. Come and learn the basics, and get familiar with a vocabulary and process that can only help you in your future arts practice.

This coming Saturday, our program will be visited by Susie Schutt, who will lead a workshop designed to help you learn the basics of intimacy onstage.

Susie Schutt, MA, MHC-A, RDT, is a therapist who specializes in drama therapy techniques. In addition to her therapy practice, Susie is a professional director (her most recent project was the Wilbury Group's production of Indecent) and has helped RIC Theatre by working as intimacy choreographer for Spring Awakening, Small Mouth Sounds, Machinal, and A Christmas Carol...More or Less.

This workshop will meet
next Saturday, February 10
from 10am-1pm in the BABS.
