 Dear Students, 

The college recently announced a modified start to the academic year. Classes will now begin on September 8. This gives us more time to make sure each student is able to comply with the vaccination requirements. 

All RIC students are required to be COVID-19 vaccinated prior to coming to campus. Religious and medical exemptions are available. Students who are not vaccinated and do not have an exemption will received a COVID-19 HOLD” via Health Services and cannot report to campus or class. 

Students also need to upload a copy of a Negative COVID-19 test 72 hours prior to any initial return to campus, regardless of vaccination status. This can be a rapid test, but not a home test.

Let’s roll up our sleeves and make sure all our students comply with the vaccination requirements. Make sure you and your friends have gotten vaccinated and uploaded your information! 

To make it easier for those students who have not yet been vaccinated or uploaded their information, Health Services will be hosting vaccination clinics on the following days. At the same time, RIC staff will be available on-site to help students upload information into the Medicat system. RIC swag and giveaways will be given to all students who upload their information on-site!

In addition, all students who have been vaccinated for COVID-19 and uploaded the information in the MediCat System as fully COVID-19 vaccinated or with an approved exemption are eligible to win prizes. Drawings for the following prizes will be held on September 1 at 1p.m. in Donovan Dining Center:

• One (1) PS5 Gaming Unit 
• One (1) Commuter Meal Plan or $500 credit on a residential meal plan if the winner is a resident*
