Welcome Back!

Hello everyone ~

Welcome back from "Spring Break"!

In an effort to foster community during this weird time of distance learning, we have set up a closed Facebook group for our RIC Theatre Community. Participating in this is entirely optional, but we hope it helps make us all feel like we're not so far away from each other.

Here's how to find it:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/305244890448591/

As the Facebook group is optional, we will still use this online callboard for official department announcements and deadlines.

In the Facebook group, feel free to post online resources, happy happenings, class assignments, etc... we're just asking that people not post news/advice related to the current pandemic situation. We're all getting enough of that via social media already! We hope this group will be an encouraging and happy space where we can continue to share each others company and encourage each other in our pursuits while also social distancing.

Feel free to ask questions and keep in touch! I'm always available via email - nfrechette@ric.edu.

A few other announcements:

- Congratulations to Alyssa Maitoza, who is the Irene Ryan nominee for Awake & Sing!

- The April 6th deadline for directing on the Growing Stage next season is quickly approaching. Email Nicki if you need an application. Applications are due back to her (via email) on or before April 6th.

Update

Spring Break has been extended a week.

On Monday, March 23, classes will resume through online and/or alternative delivery until further notice. All in-person class instruction and even individual met ups are not allowed. Your teachers will be in touch. Bear with us, this isn't something any of us were prepared for!

All rehearsals have been cancelled, unfortunately along with our productions of THE LITTLE MERMAID and I & YOU. The faculty is meeting on Monday and as we get more information, you will be kept informed. In the meantime, take care of yourselves. <3
